Sustainable design lab, grape lab
We are grape lab, a sustainable design lab which is doing various experiments to solve environmental and social issues from a design point of view.
We focus mainly on wasted resources and vulnerable people in marginal areas of our society. We care about every step of our product’s lifecycle, use minimal resources and technology and, eliminate unnecessary elements.
Our lab is a discrimination-free environment. Young people with intellectual disabilities are a vital part of our team – their diverse talents and skills are what gives life to our products.
g.stand is an eco-friendly book stand as light as a piece of paper. It is made with a single sheet of 100% recycled paper, without any bonding, or chemical coating.
The fascinating origami structure makes it sturdy enough to support even a laptop computer, and when folded, small enough to fit in a handbag.
We also collaborate with artists with disabilities for the g.stand art edition. Our goal is to continue working with vulnerable people, giving them better opportunities for exposure, and creating a profitable platform for them.
g.planner is made using 12 varieties of wood-free, recycled papers. Each month brings a different texture, color, and story. The planner's no binding design allows it to be opened into a full-size calendar for a monthly view.
g.planner was not made to be left inside a drawer. Its pocket-sized design is perfect to be carried around every time, everywhere. Use it to plan your yearly goals, your next trip or to track daily activities.
page light is an eco-friendly bookmark made using wood scraps from carpenter shops, wood-free traditional Korean paper and powered by solar energy to shine endlessly.
page light makes every story glow, like a magical book. Use it as a reading lamp as well as a mood light. Pick the perfect page design to fit your lifestyle.
